ENTRUST is looking to recruit to the role of Regulations Officer.
Following the resignation of the current post holder, ENTRUST has a vacancy for the role of Regulations Officer. The main focus of this role is to:
- Assist in the development and communication of the Landfill Tax Regulations 1996 (Regulations), policy positions and guidance;
- Give advice and guidance to stakeholders and internal teams;
- Compile reports including data analysis; and
- Manage training events and develop training materials to meet the needs of Environmental Bodies (EBs).
The post holder will report to the Policy and Regulations Manager and will be responsible for updating guidance and training information, assisting with registrations and enforcement functions, communicating with stakeholders, and providing data, analysis and reports to HMRC and other stakeholders. Part of the role may involve visiting certain Landfill Community Fund (LCF) project sites to review the proposed work against the requirements of the scheme.
The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre with experience of undertaking projects with tight deadlines to a high standard and the ability to absorb and understand the Regulations and LCF scheme quickly. With strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills and a high level of computer literacy, the individual will have the ability to analyse large amounts of data and information and report concisely on the result, in addition they should have excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills.
We are seeking to recruit an individual with a background, or experience in a similar role and who is comfortable in working effectively as part of a small team, as well as working with colleagues across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, excellent organisational and time management skills and a positive attitude able to work with the minimum level of supervision.

The role offers a salary of circa £25,000 dependent on knowledge and experience, 25 days annual leave, an employer contribution to pension, an Employee Assistance Programme, and access to the 'Perks at Work' scheme.
