Congratulations to the County Durham Environmental Trust Ltd (CDENT) and Hurst Water Meadow Trust who have recently been awarded Accredited status.
To become Accredited, Environmental Bodies (EBs) are subject to a rigorous objective assessment of their internal control and governance framework. This will provide Landfill Operators (LOs) and other EBs, with the assurance that they are donating with an increased level of confidence. CDENT and Hurst Water Meadow met this challenge and we are delighted that they have reached the required standard and that we will now be able to apply a lighter regulatory touch.
