Following feedback from stakeholders in 2016/2017, we have been consulting on the operation of our compliance risk model to ensure that it continues to provide sufficient and accurate information to allocate our limited resources to enable us to deliver our statutory assurance role.
To obtain further feedback from Environmental Bodies (EBs) we held a stakeholder sounding board meeting on Tuesday 23 May 2017. The event explained the background to the consultation now taking place and the action already taken in response to feedback from stakeholders about the compliance inspection approach undertaken by ENTRUST under the Terms of Approval with HMRC and the Landfill Tax Regulations 1996 (Regulations). The presentation slides from the meeting are available at the right hand side of this page, along with feedback from the event.
Any further comments or feedback should be sent to the Deputy Chief Executive, Alison Bennett by Friday 9 June 2017. The findings of the consultation will be provided to the ENTRUST Board and HMRC in July, and the full updated risk model will be published in September 2017.
