In line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018 we published our updated Privacy Policy.
The updated policy and privacy section of the ENTRUST website clarifies and makes it easier for stakeholders to understand how we manage and use their personal data. Furthermore, in line with best IT practice we are now publishing our updated Cookie Policy, which sets out:
- What cookies are;
- What cookies ENTRUST Online (EOL) uses;
- What cookies the ENTRUST website uses;
- How ENTRUST manages cookies;
- How you can control which cookies you accept;
- How we use Google Analytics; and
- General background information on cookies.
Additionally, we are also implementing a new Cookie Control tool. This allows us to display a banner on the ENTRUST website and on EOL. The banners explain a little about how and why we use cookies and provides a link to the Cookie Policy area of our website. The tool enables the user to either select 'Accept and Continue' or to select an option to read more about how to manage cookies.
The ENTRUST cookie banner will appear at the bottom of an individual's screen until they make a selection. Once either 'Accept and Continue' or 'Manage Cookies/Read our Cookie Policy' have been selected the banner will disappear. This places a cookie on the device for 90 days to remember the choice. After 90 days, the banner will appear again to remind the user about cookies on the site, this is because the original cookie has expired and needs to be refreshed. We will monitor feedback on how people experience the new cookie banners and in particular the 90 day period in which the banner reappears.
You can access our full Cookie Policy in the related documents on the right hand side of this page or visit the new updated Cookie Policy section of our website, which sets out clearly all the information you need to know about cookies.
If you have any questions, concerns or would like to give us feedback about our Cookie Policy and/or Cookie Control tool please email communications@entrust.org.uk or call our Helpline on 01926 488 300.
