We have launched a consultation on the future of the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) Accreditation scheme.
Following discussions with HM Revenue & Customs the accreditation scheme was closed to new applicants earlier in 2017. This decision was taken due to limited interest in the accreditation scheme and the need to streamline and simplify our activities in line with the reduction in the size of the LCF. ENTRUST is now looking to further simplify processes and activities by reducing the scope of the accreditation scheme and potentially closing it in full. Please find further information in the document on the right hand side of this page.
In order to minimise any disruption and additional costs ENTRUST is consulting with accredited Environmental Bodies (EBs) to establish what parts of the accreditation scheme have been most beneficial to them and gather suggestions for its future. ENTRUST will consider all feedback and suggestions in deciding on the future of the accreditation scheme. We wrote to the main contacts of all accredited EBs on 29 November 2017 to collect their feedback. The outcome of the consultation will be reported in early 2018.
