Enrolling as an Environmental Body (EB)

To enrol as an Environmental Body (EB) you will need to register through ENTRUST Online (EOL). There is a guide available at the bottom right hand side of this page to support you whilst you enrol. Alternatively you can also call our Helpline on 01926 488 300 for assistance.

Please note that you will only need to enrol if you are receiving funding directly from a Landfill Operator (LO) or if your funder has required you to enrol. In most cases, enrolment is not necessary. There is a £100 enrolment fee.

We will need to see copies of your governing documents which must contain clauses regarding:

  1. your organisation's Objects;
  2. being not-for-profit; and
  3. Your organisation not benefiting the contributing landfill operator or any contributing third party.

Your organisation must also confirm that in the possible dissolution of the organisation any remaining LCF monies are returned to another Environmental Body.

We cannot enrol your organisation as an EB if it is controlled by any of the following:

  1. a local authority or local authorities;
  2. a registered Landfill Operator (LO) or LOs;
  3. a company, or companies, controlled by one or more local authorities;
  4. anyone who controlled or was involved in managing and Environmental Body (EB) whose involvement was compulsorily revoked;
  5. anyone convicted of an indictable offence;
  6. anyone disqualified from being a charity trustee;
  7. anyone connected with the previous categories of individuals and organisations; or
  8. anyone who lacks capability because of a mental disorder.
