LCF Brand Guidelines

To maximise the impact of the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) in local communities, it's vital to raise awareness about the LCF and the types of projects it supports. A key way to do this is by using the LCF logo on materials related to funded projects or when providing information about the scheme.

We suggest prominently displaying the LCF logo on various materials associated with the scheme, such as information boards, leaflets, and websites.

To cater to different communication needs, we have three approved versions of the LCF logo:

Colour: The primary logo, suitable for most uses.

Black and White: Ideal for use in black and white documents.

White (Reversed): Best for dark or patterned backgrounds.

Depending on your needs, different image and file types are available. We offer the three most common file types on our website, but additional high-resolution and vector files are available upon request from the Communications Manager.

The LCF strapline 'The Landfill Communities Fund; benefiting people and the environment' can also be used alongside the logo.

Entrust Publicity and Promotion Guidance:

We encourage the use of the LCF logo in all scheme-related materials. The Brand Guidelines document, available on our website, provides further information. Suitable wording for press releases is also provided at the bottom of this page.

Only reasonable and relevant promotional activities may be funded by LCF monies. For compliance queries about promotional activities, please contact our Regulations Team at 01926 488 300.

For press releases about LCF-funded projects, include the following Note to Editors:

"The Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) is a tax credit scheme allowing Landfill Operators (LOs) in England and Northern Ireland to contribute to Entrust-enrolled Environmental Bodies (EBs). These EBs utilise these funds for community and environmental projects within 10 miles of licensed landfill sites. LOs can claim a credit (5.3% for 2022/2023) against their landfill tax for 90% of their contributions.

Since its inception in 1996, the LCF has supported over 61,000 projects across the UK with contributions from landfill operators totalling £1.76 billion. For more information, visit HMRC’s guide to Landfill Tax.”

There are many different types of image and file types. Which type of image or file type you require will depend on the purpose for which you wish to use the image. We have made available the three most common file types on the right hand of this page. However we have a number of different logo versions, including high resolution and vector files should you require them. Please contact the Communications Manager if you need a different logo file.

You can also use the LCF strapline alongside the logo: 'The Landfill Communities Fund; benefiting people and the environment.'

ENTRUST guidance regarding publicity and promotion:
