York Cemetery Wildlife and Community Pond

Restoration and development of wildlife pond, provision of interpretation panels and notice boards, training of action group for maintenance of pond and surrounding area, production of activity pack for community groups and individuals visiting the project site.
The pond is based within the York Cemetery and is in a very poor state and needs to be restored and developed to protect the local wildlife and natural habitats. The pond will be an accessible public amenity which will teach the general public about the habitats and wildlife species and about the pond’s conservation programme through leaflets, activity packs and interpretive panels and notice boards
