Upgrade Heating and Windows, St Giles Church Hall, Hawes Lane Schools and Mission Hall/Rowley Regis PCC, West Midlands

This is a project to install double glazed windows and upgrade the heating system at St Giles Church Hall.

Heating cost have increased significantly. Current electric/gas costs for the hall are around £10,000 annually. Upgrading the heating system and fitting double glazing to replace the large poor fitting single glazed ones will not only reduce fuel costs but will make the hall warmer and therefore more comfortable for all those who use it.

St Giles Church uses the hall for a weekly youth group, working with a local school, and a weekly “coffee club” for local people, many of whom are frail and/or elderly. The church also has fund raising events in the hall, such as summer/winter fayre, social events and tabletop sales, as well as occasional use for services when the church is not available (for instance closed due to maintenance work or heating out of action).
