Thompson Wood Management Works

The aims and objectives of this project are to best utilise Gift Aid beneficiary funds from FCC for the continuing management of Thompson Wood. This work will include installing nine public access and management gates as well as branded interpretation and signage on site. We are also in the process of planning and designing our new car park on site and although the funding for this piece of work will be large, any remaining funds left after the gate and interpretation work will helpfully go towards initial works for this.

The aim of this work will be to make the site much more visitor friendly and to continue building on the great work already started at Thompson Wood, both with tree planting and restoration works of pingo ponds on site having taken place within the past year. With the additions of gates, signage and eventually car park on site more people will be able to visit and enjoy this wonderful evolving space.
