Sutton-upon-Derwent playground equipment

To replace the existing and aging playground structure and wetpour flooring, adding a goal end for older children to play.
The existing equipment includes a large play tower with slide, scramble net and monkey bars – this is old, the timbers are rotting, and the Parish Council / volunteers are no longer confident that they can maintain it without undue risk to the children. The applicants are therefore looking to replace this with a Pioneer tower that includes elements for climbing and sliding which are helpful to improve children’s balance, co-ordination and strength. Works also include removing the resin floor which has also started to crack and cause tripping risks, replacing it with new wet pour. This is important to ensure disability access to all the equipment, including the existing disability swing.
