St Teilos Church

Faith in Families, in partnership with St Teilo’s Parish is currently transforming St Teilo’s Church and grounds into a Community Hub that will offer: child and family support services; community recreational services; and the day to day services which a parish church provides.

Grant Funding of over £1m has been obtained to develop the existing building and add an extension in order to deliver the services outlined in our Funding Application bids both to the Welsh government and the Big Lottery Fund.

On commencement of preparing the ground for the extension, buried asbestos was discovered. Work had to stop in order for the asbestos and contaminated soil to be properly disposed of thus using up the contingent fund and the amount set aside for re-roofing and renewing the electrical installation in the worship area of the building.

Our current aim is to raise £70,000 to complete the work on the church building.
