St Peter & St Paul, Mitcham – Roof Repairs

Repairs / replacement of church roofs, including re-laying roof of the tower with new copper sheet roofing, re-laying the slates on the South Aisle roof and replacement of lead parapet gutters, replacing the South East Vestry Roof (new stainless steel roofing), and small render replacement.
The vestry roof is in critical need of repair, as the water seepage has had a detrimental effect on the Georgian inner ceiling. The Aisle roof is also end-of-life. The original Georgian ‘onion skin’ inner ceiling is at severe risk of permanent damage to to water penetration. The interior & contents of the main church building is at growing risk, and the tower roof is at the practical end of its life, with damage to the eight bells (still in use) possible.
