Roof Replacement

To replace the roof, in its entirety, of the community centre. The roof is leaking in several areas of the building causing damp and an unsavoury environment.
Standbridge Lane Community Development Trust (SLCDT) was established in 2010. The community it serves is dominated by social housing tenants from a number of local housing estates. The building offers a host of meeting rooms, a main hall, quiet room and a large kitchen. As well as being used as a children’s day care centre and boxing club, the building hosts a variety of regular weekly groups including Guides, majorettes, a fitness group, slimming world, a friendship group for the elderly alongside providing affordable space to rent. The existing roof is more than 50 years old and has recently been inspected by roofing contractors who confirmed that it is in need of replacement in some areas and repairs to others. We are concerned that if we do not complete these works this summer, the areas in serious disrepair may well not survive another winter.
