Roman Bridge, Blackpill

The Roman Bridge is Grade II listed (Cadw 1993). The bridge is
understood to be on a former packhorse route that originally linked
Swansea Castle to Oystermouth Castle (possibly via Clyne Valley,
Sketty and Uplands). In Victorian times, the Roman Bridge became a
popular tourist ‘eye catcher’ and was featured in numerous historic
photographs and post cards. The bridge is currently at risk (closed to the
public) and the works would repair/restore the structure to bring it back
into public use.
