Restoration of Sketty Recreation Ground

Having discovered that this small park is in fact an open space war memorial to the fallen from Sketty in the great war of 1914-1918, The Friends of De-la-Beche Park are committed to
a) erecting a memorial stone as directed in the original deed of gift to the council in 1922!
b) restoring two pairs of tennis courts which have been neglected by the council
c) Updating the building on site to provide disabled facilities and a working kitchen in order to provide refreshments for parkers again bringing us back in line with condition contained within the deed of gift to the council for the people of Sketty.
d) reinstating a canopy over the bowls hut which has been removed by council for safety reasons.
