Replacement of multi-use children’s play facility

The applicants are a local voluntary group who were successful some 13 years ago in obtaining land and developing it so as to house a floodlit games court with all-weather surface for use free of charge by villagers. As part of the project, a multi-use children’s play unit was also provided and this is rapidly deteriorating and seems likely to be unfit for purpose in the near future. It is only such facility in the area and is used extensively by the local school for activities both curricular and non-curricular.
