Projects / Modernisation of Newton Churchmens Club Building

Modernisation of Newton Churchmens Club Building

Newton Churchmens Club began in January 1906. The Club consists of a main hall with two snooker tables, a small ‘committee room’ with rudimentary kitchen facilities, a utility area with basic toilet facilities, and a small parking area. The electrical wiring is old, and the heating and lighting not energy efficient. The aim of the project is to update the wiring with improved heating and lighting, install toilet facilities for the disabled, improve access for the disabled, thermally insulated the building, and improve the parking area. The kitchen facilities will be moved to the utility area to make the committee room a more flexible space.
