Lodge Farm Park, Romford – Public Playground refurbishment (008047)

The play area within the park has received sparse funding and equipment is clearly outdated when compared to other local playgrounds. The current play equipment lacks sufficient play value, which more modern equipment has, and this gives the play area a very underwhelming appearance. In addition, with older equipment, spares are harder to source and we estimate that several units will need to be removed as they cannot be maintained. The outdoor gym was one of the first installed in Havering, nearly 20 yrs ago. Similarly, much of the equipment is outdated and in need of revitalising. Small replacements have been made with the equipment, but these have been piecemeal and replacement of the remaining equipment, plus some new additions would make this outdoor gym modern and attractive for visitors
