Keeping the South Gower Cliffs Colourful

The project aims to protect section 42 habitats and species through the clearance of Cotoneaster, Holm Oak and Buddleia at Southgate Cliffs, Gower. The cleared areas will then be managed to encourage natural grassland regeneration. Cotoneaster forms dense, impenetrable carpets on cliff faces, scree and grass slopes. Clearing these invasive species will increase habitat availability and quality, removing the threat to native species.
