Installation of Smoke Detection/Fire Alarm System within the Whole Premises

Merley Community Centre currently has an old, nearing end of life, fire alarm system which provides no smoke detection equipment. During the most recent fire risk assessment it was advised as an action, to install a modern smoke detection system throughout the building. The building comprises of two large halls and two lounge rooms. All rooms within the building are hired to local residents within the community and also other members of the public, ranging from young children and more senior adults. The building is fully accessible and inclusive for all.

Funding for this project would not only provide fire protection for the physical building but also enhance the safety of the centre users.
