Emmaus Village Calton, Community Bistro Kitchen Improvements

To provide the people of Calton and local visitors, with an improved facility for meeting socially and enjoying the Bistro at Emmaus. Due to such a demand on existing space, the plan is to create and equip a new kitchen with up-to-date facilities, catering for the increased use that will occur when the Bistro is extended. The kitchen will also provide Companions (those previously homless who are residing and working at Emmaus), staff and volunteers with modern facilities in which to train and work. 50% of project registered with the Landfill Communities Fund – therefore £25,000 is the total fund money that can be spent on project.
