Cae’r Efail, Porthyrhyd – Providing a Sensory Garden and Play Area

At present there are no recreational facilities on Cae’r Efail for young children and elderly residents. There is a small area of the field currently unused which would be an ideal location for the proposed project. Our aim is to develop this area creating a Sensory Garden and pleasant seating area for both residents and visitors and a small play area for young children thus utilising the space to its full potential.Ground preparation will be undertaken, a sensory garden planted and seating installed. A play area for young children will be created. Safety surfaces and pathways will be installed and the area bordered with log edging. Trees will be planted. Gates (3/4 and 1/4 gates) will be installed at entrance to Cae’r Efail ensuring disabled access and also securing the site.
