Bromley Little Theatre, Kent – Accessible Foyer and Lift Installation (008136)

The community theatre is housed in a converted Victorian bakery. The current steep, narrow stairs and inadequate lift will be replaced with a fully accessible entrance that meets modern standards. The new design includes a compliant access and escape stairway and a lift connecting the ground floor to the first-floor foyer and performance spaces. Additionally there will be an accessible toilet created along with a new entrance, making the theatre truly welcoming to all, regardless of mobility needs. The opportunity will also be taken to add insulation and upgrade lighting and heating to those parts of the building affected by the works to minimise energy use and improve their carbon footprint.
