Bromham Community Hub – Landscaping

The LCF project is to undertake to Hard Landscape the patio areas outside the new
Bromham Community Hub.
The patio area created will create external seating/socialising
space to complement and enhance the internal rooms and will create indoor-outdoor vistas.
The building has been designed to take advantage of the rural setting of the building and
has large windows to the South and West overlooking the patios and beyond.
The landscaping project is a separate but essential project that will allow Bromham
Community Hub to open to the public. The landscaping project involves the
formation of a large flat very accessible patio area which is much better for non-ambulant
and reduced ambulant members of the community. The planting scheme that will follow the
hard landscape project will provide a sensory experience for all users. It will allow outdoor gatherings,
BBQ’s and will maximise the potential of indoor based events – which will be able to spill
out onto the patio area on two sides of the building as a result of the patio area. There will be significant overall environmental and sustainability improvements as a result of the completed new building project. A number of strategies to reduce
carbon and use of water have been implemented to meet planning requirements and
all align with BCH Carbon Reduction Policy and annual plan. An attenuation tank has
been installed under the area designated to be landscaped.
