Belcoo O’Rahilly’s GFC – Community Gym

The organisation, an amateur sports club in Co. Fermanagh, aim to promote Gaelic games among the local community and have an active and extensive membership.
The group are currently in year 2 of a three year plan to develop the club in terms of health and wellbeing, coaching and games and facilities development. Planning permission has been granted to develop a new club house facility at the grounds to include changing rooms, a gym, kitchen, treatment rooms, meeting and function rooms.
While fundraising is ongoing for this longer term development the group have installed a large 3 bay steel storage shed which will be used as a community gym until such times as the new build is complete. This project will fund gym equipment to be used in the temporary building initially, and will later be transferred to the new building.
The purpose built community hub will fit in with the aesthetic qualities of the surrounding area while enhancing the facilities available for use by the public.

The project will greatly improve the provision on offer to the community helping to bring services closer to the local area and promoting ease of access to both social and physical activity and will be available to other local groups, helping to build relationships and create opportunities for future events and programs for the benefit of the community.
