Barn Owl Conservation

To conserve the Barn Owl and its environment. Two Assistant Conservation Officers employed to provide advice and support to landowners, planners and ecologists, give educational talks to school groups, erect nestboxes, monitor breeding sites and carry out research. The Barn Owl is a local BAP species. Conserving the Barn Owl and its environment incorporates a huge diversity of other farmland species and encourages the use of traditional farm practices, reducing intensity and the use of toxic substances.
