Ashurst Village Hall

Project Details:

To replace the existing Village hall which has significant structural problems and facilities which are inadequate and out of date. The present hall is due to be demolished in August 2012 for safety reasons.

Ashurst is a thriving rural community with remarkable community spirit; the residents have united in their desire to achieve this project which will not only sustain and develop our community, but will also continue to attract others to our beautiful village keeping it the vibrant community that it is.

The new Village Hall in Ashurst will:
• Provide a purpose built, eco-friendly community facility that is fit for purpose and multi-functional.
• Allow improvement to a community facility in a rural area that is central to surrounding more isolated villages.
• Develop facilities for local people – especially the young, elderly and disabled
• Develop art projects for the first time – especially music and drama for young people
