We are pleased to share the 2024 report on the value of the scheme. This report is a combination of two reports that were previously published separately, the Value for Money Report, and the Economic, Community and Environmental Impact Report.
By combining the two, we have developed a full overview of the valuable work that the fund has achieved over the last year, comparing to the previous two years. This report seeks to understand how valuable the LCF is to local communities and the environment, analysing measures such as jobs, volunteering, deprivation and also geographical equality.
By sharing this information, we hope to encourage those who are active in the scheme, and those who wish to take part, to continue the work in providing greatly valued, transformative work in locations close to landfill activity. It is also informative for all those interested in the fund, outlining its impact and additional value, such as new income streams from project spending or the variety of biodiversity projects.
In addition, each EB who has funded five or more projects, will shortly receive their own EB specific report, which indicates where they fit in the bigger picture laid out in this document.
Please also note two other documents have recently been uploaded to the website, the Annual Report and the Satisfaction Survey Report. These are annual documents for your information.
