Funding Policies

The Trust will consider funding category D or DA projects. All funding criteria can be downloaded from the Trust’s website.

The project’s total cost must not exceed £250,000. Minimum grant request considered is £10,000. Maximum grant request considered is £75,000.
Enrolled Environmental Bodies (EBs) may also apply for a larger ‘Environmental Improvement Grant’ of over £75,000. Further details are available on the Trust’s website.

Additional Information

The Veolia Environmental Trust does not fund throughout the entirety of the counties listed above. To check if a project is located in an eligible area use the postcode checker on the Trust's website.
When considering applications, the Trust looks for evidence that the proposed project will: benefit a wide range of users, including excluded, often overlooked, deprived and hard-to-reach groups; meet a need identified through community consultation; involve volunteers; use environmentally friendly solutions; achieve value for money; demonstrate innovation, imagination and excellence.
Projects must also have a clear benefit for the environment, resulting in an increase in biodiversity and/or reduction in carbon.
